Zero’s Snow Day

Sorry mom’s been so lazy with my blog! I would have updated sooner but I don’t have thumbs. Since last time, so much has happened, but for now I’ll tell you about last week. It was very weird. My humans were home for an extra long time. They just sort of didn’t go to work?…

Since last time, so much has happened, but for now I’ll tell you about last week. It was very weird. My humans were home for an extra long time. They just sort of didn’t go to work? they kept saying “snow day” so I guess that means something.

And then there was also this white fluffy stuff falling from the sky. It was weird. I’ve seen it before but never really knew what it’s purpose was.

On the last day that mom and Random Guy stayed, they took me outside.

What is this stuff?

At first, I wasn’t really sure what I was supposed to do. All my regular spots were covered in the white fluff. Every time I tried to step on it , it shrunk under my feet and I sunk down into it. It was cold but I love walks so much that I persevered for a while. I can’t let mom and Random Guy think I’ve gone soft. Image that! What if they were like “We see you don’t care about this anymore, we’re going to stop walking you, Zero…”

What a terrible thought.

Random Guy was Being Weird

As mom and I circled the house in a trail that I can only assume was made for me, Random Guy was digging more in the yard. I watched him. The sound of the shovel scooping was creepy. Mom and I stared, then I hustled back around the house to the other side, with mom on my heels (and attached by leash). We came around and there he was again.

Why is Random Guy being so creepy?

I turned to go around the other way. Mom held the leash and convinced me to continue toward Random Guy. He was now walking toward us from the shed. It looks like he was done digging.

Things Took a Turn for the Better

I walked more and realized there were fresh trails! Random Guy dug me a walkway to all of my favorite spots!

The tree I like to sniff?

Sniffed it.

The garden I like to dig in?

Dug in it.

The tree across the street that I like to visit?

Visited it.

Random Guy really thought of everything.

Bird Watching

We ended a lovely walk with bird watching in the far back garden. I lay on my stomach and watched them. I made a chattery noise at them to let them know I disagree with their general existence and the choices they make. Don’t they know this isn’t their yard? They just frolic in the snow like there’s no such thing as a property line. Rude.

Best Snow Day Ever

I think that mom and Random Guy had a nice time outside. We had a photoshoot. It felt like we all bonded on this day. I liked that they still let me outside and gave me the chance to see if I like the snow. I think I didn’t mind it. It was nice to come inside and have a bath after a nice family adventure.
